TrueVoice is Limes Audio’s patented and proven audio software, it has been implemented in audio conferencing products sold all over the world.
It contains features like:
Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC)
Description
In audio conferencing units, acoustic echoes are picked up by near-end microphones when sound originating from far-end speakers is reproduced on near-end loudspeakers. Limes Audio AEC removes these disturbing echoes. Because acoustic environments can rapidly change, Limes Audio AEC provides a robust solution --even in particularly challenging situations-- using advanced adaptive filtering and control.
Features
- Full-duplex
- Non-linear processing
- Sample rate conversion
Applications
- Video conferencing systems
- Speakerphones
- Intercom Systems
Line Echo Cancellation (LEC)
Description
Line echoes arise in the receiving signal from a telephone network when sound from the near-end speaker, located in the same room as the audio conferencing unit, is transmitted. Limes Audio LEC makes use of the fact that line echoes are typically sparse to ensure fast and accurate echo cancellation performance, while minimizing computer hardware requirements.
Features
- Full-duplex
- Non-linear processing
- Adaptable tail length
Applications
- PSTN (POTS) telephones
Noise Reduction (NR)
Description
Limes Audio processes the noisy voice signal to enhance speech. Special care has been taken to avoid "music noise" (processing noise) in low SNR (Signal-to-Noise-Ratio) environments and when used with third-party speech processing software, such as Skype and other VoIP solutions. In virtually all audio conferencing solutions, some background noise is picked up by the microphone. Limes Audio NR suppresses background noise and improves the perceived audio quality.
Features
- Full-duplex
- Non-linear processing
- Adaptable tail length
Applications
- Speakerphones
- Videoconference systems
- Intercoms
- Recording devices
Automatic Gain Control (AGC)
Description
In hands-free communications, a variety of meeting setups are possible. Sometimes participants may be close to the microphone, generating a strong voice signal, while at other times they may be far away from the microphone, resulting in a weak signal. Limes Audio AGC is a speech-focused AGC that improves microphone signal strength when participants are far from the microphone.
Features
- Full-duplex
- Non-linear processing
- Adaptable tail length
Applications
- Speakerphones
- Videoconference systems
- Intercoms
- Recording devices
Equalizer (EQ)
Description
Personal preferences and different loudspeaker characteristics require frequency characteristics tuning of the loudspeaker signal. Limes Audio EQ is an equalizer that can be set for optimal listener comfort. The equalizer can also be adjusted to provide a set of predefined characteristics, such as, soft, neutral and bright.
Features
- Full-duplex
- Non-linear processing
- Adaptable tail length
Applications
- Speakerphones
- Videoconference systems
- Intercoms
- Recording devices
Comfort Noise Generator (CNG)
Description
There is always background noise in microphone signals. Typically, residual echo suppression modulates background noise, sometimes causing listening discomfort for the far-end speaker. Limes Audio CNG generates and inserts "comfort noise", with the same characteristics as the background noise when residual echo suppression is active. The background noise level is thus kept constant and listening comfort is improved.
Features
- Fast adaptation
- Perfect match to background noise characteristics
Applications
- Speakerphones
- Videoconference systems
Multi-party Bridge
Description
In many systems, the capability to perform multi-party calls is desirable. Limes Audio multi-party bridge is an audio bridge application that allows bridging of several parties in a single call. The maximum number of participants in the bridge depends on the available processing power.
Features
- Automatic gain control
- Handles mixed frequency bands
- Easy incorporation with speakerphone functionality
Applications
- Speakerphones
- Videoconference systems
- Intercoms
Automatic Microphone Mixing (AMM)
Description
In distributed multi-microphone systems the microphone signals can be combined in different ways. In simple systems the microphones are just combined, with the effect that if one microphone is picking up the users voice, the other microphones are only adding noise and reverberation, which reduces the audio quality.
Limes Audios AMM detects the microphone associated with the current speaker and mutes all other microphones, the person can even move around in the room and the algorithm switches seamless between microphones.
Limes Audio provides a unique (patent pending) solution, which provides outstanding performance completely without clicking sounds and other artifacts associated with microphone switching.
Features
- Microphone priority
- Seamless adaptation
- No artifacts
Applications
- Videoconference systems
- Conference Phones
- Installed audio
